The XPERIA X1 is an announced smartphone from Sony Ericsson which would be their first one based on Windows Mobile, scheduled for release in the second half of 2008. Presented at the Mobile World Congress 2008, this device will feature a 3-inch touchscreen and a QWERTY keypad. X1 is also the first model in the XPERIA series. The device utilizes Qualcomm's MSM7200A CPU clocking at 528Mhz and is based on the upcoming Windows Mobile 6.1 Operating System. The device integrates a 3.2 megapixel Digital still camera and video recording function boasting resolution up to VGA at 30 frames per second. X1 is powered by a newly developed 1500mah Lithium-Polymer battery which the company stated to last a day and more even with extensive usage (e.g. Surfing Web with WLAN)
